Tracey Foster - Tracey Foster is a 30-year transit professional and Director of Customer Service, Sales and Fare Media for the Washington Metropolitan Transit Authority (WMATA). Ms. Foster’s public transit career commenced at the Chicago Transit Authority where she served for 26 years in various leadership roles in Treasury Support Services, Operations and Customer Service. During her tenure, Ms. Foster developed key branded ridership programs for 1.6 million daily riders including a university pass program, smartcard fare payment systems and new technology initiatives. Ms. Foster also facilitated project management for the American Public Transportation Association (APTA), Bank of America Marathon, Taste of Chicago and customer facing events for City of Chicago residents. Ms. Foster was named to Who’s Who Among Executives, Professionals & Entrepreneurs and participated with Leadership Illinois. In her spare time, Tracey enjoys traveling and sports.
Jim Bongiorno, CPA, PMP - Jim is a jack-of-all trades with 33 years of experience across several industries. Jim works for the Washington Metro where he is managing an $8.7 million project to eliminate Metro’s paper farecards. He is also managing a project to transition Metro’s 20 million plus annual bank card transactions to a new acquiring bank. Jim started his career in Chicago with what is now Ernst & Young as both a financial and computer auditor. In addition to public transit, Jim has experience managing business and information technology teams in toll collection, insurance, banking, printing, retail, and shipbuilding. Jim’s eldest son served in Operation Iraqi Freedom on an Aegis class destroyer Jim helped build. His youngest son presently serves on a Los Angeles class fast attack sub. Jim is originally from Long Island, and he is an avid Yankees fan.
2:00 - 2:50 p.m. Topic: It's Alive - Bringing a Payment Strategy to Life
Payments continue to take on a life of their own. Once thought of as a necessary back-office motion to make the real business happen, payments are quickly becoming an important contributor to business itself. Enticed by the real opportunity to create new value with payments organizations including banks, payment processors and corporates are developing formal payment related strategies. This presentation will review the structure of a payment strategy, several key considerations and highlight best practices for successful execution from the corporate perspective. Every organization should have some form of a documented payment strategy and after this session you will be able to bring yours to life.
Speaker: Neil D. McHugh, CTP, CPCP, VP, Segment Manager Emerging Payments, TD Bank
Neil’s career at TD Bank spans nearly 15 years and he currently manages the emerging payment segment for the Treasury Management Services business. In this multi-faceted position, Neil directs the bank’s growth strategy for emerging B2B payment solutions including commercial cards, ePayables and Integrated Payables. Prior to this role, Neil successfully led the Treasury Management sales team in the Metropolitan Washington D.C. region and helped to develop TD's commercial card program. During his career in the treasury management and payments industry, Neil has held multiple positions including RFP response writer, Implementation Project Manager, Treasury Sales Officer working with numerous clients representing the small business, middle market, large corporate, not-for-profit and government sectors. In addition, he has contributed to numerous industry journals and is a regular presenter attreasury management and payments conferences. McHugh is a Certified Treasury Professional (CTP), Certified Purchasing Card Professional (CPCP) and holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Villanova University.

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICIES
Sessions generally will be cancelled only for inclement weather. If the U.S. Government closes due to severe weather, the session will be cancelled. Every effort will be made to notify registered participants of the cancellation by email. In the event of advance payments, participants may request funds be applied to the next upcoming meeting provided 48 hours of notification are given.
