PRESIDENT - Giselle Lloyd-Leeks, CTP Giselle is a Vice President with Wells Fargo and Treasury Sales Analyst III working with the Business Banking segment. Prior to her current role, Giselle served as Treasury Management Sales Consultant supporting the Mid-Atlantic region. Giselle has been in the banking industry for 26 years, 19 of which serving in the cash/treasury management division. Giselle graduated with a B.S. in Finance and minor in Small Business Management Entrepreneurship from the University of Maryland University College and is currently seeking a Master's in Business Administration (MBA). Giselle is a Certified Treasury Professional (CTP). VICE PRESIDENT and Interim Treasurer - Peter Laanisto, CPA, CTP and FPAC With over 20+ years of experience in Accounting, Finance and most recently Treasury. Peter previously worked for a regional Public Accounting firm, Fortune 500 hotel company, publicly traded Consulting firm, a private-equity backed hospitality company, a public school system. He is currently working for a non-profit whose mission is to provide affordable housing for low-income individuals . Professional Designations include: Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) and Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis Professional (FPAC) in additional to an MBA and Masters in Finance and Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting earned from the University of Maryland. Peter has been an adjunct faculty member at two local Community Colleges teaching Principle of Accounting I & II and Quickbooks. SECRETARY - Michelle Thissell, CTP Michelle Thissell is a Senior Relationship Manager with the Aerospace, Defense and Technology (AD&T) team at Bank of America. With 20+ years of banking experience, Michelle is responsible for bringing working capital financing, treasury management services, risk mitigation, investment strategies and employee benefit solutions to her clients. She currently manages a portfolio of existing client relationships who have between $50MM to $2B in annual revenue. Prior to joining the AD&T team, Michelle specialized in treasury management and international banking solutions. She assisted clients in the Business Banking and Middle Market segment with working capital solutions. She has continuously worked with companies in the GovCon industry throughout her time in the DC metro region. Michelle has worked at other financial institutions, specializing in cash management, stock transfer and escrow services. Michelle earned a Masters degree with an International Finance designation from Fordham University and a BBA degree in Finance from Pace University. She holds both Series 7 and 63 licenses. PROGRAMMING - Christina Manning Christina is an Assistant Vice President and Treasury Management Officer with PNC Bank in the Greater Washington region. She is responsible for business development and management of a middle market and large corporate portfolio with a focus on government contracting. Christina has been in banking for over six years and is a Certified Treasury Professional (CTP). Christina graduated summa cum laude from Siena College with a B.S. in Marketing and Management. She has been an active member of the Greater Washington Association for Financial Professionals for over six years and a board officer for two terms. She is also a member of the Commonwealth Association for Financial Professionals. Michael Martino Michael J. Martino, CCM is a Treasury Consultant residing in Frederick, Maryland. He was formerly Manager – Cash and Banking at CSX Corporation in Jacksonville, Florida. Prior to that, he was Director – Cash Administration and Director – Equipment Administration at CSX Transportation. He is a former Vice President of the Treasury Management Association of Northeast Florida, a presenter at New York Cash Exchange, Treasury Management Conference of the South and the AFP National Conference and the author of 4 articles for Treasury and Risk Magazine. Mike holds a BA in Economics from Fordham University and an MS in Transportation from Northwestern University. Faisal Rashid In his role as a Treasury Management Consultant, Faisal brings strategic ideas to help colleges, universities and non-profit organizations find solutions to complex challenges. He brings new ideas related to consolidating payables, receivables, while helping build customized treasury platforms. Helping clients navigate technology change is also a key aspect of his responsibility as a Treasury Management Consultant. Faisal has worked with non-profit and higher education organizations since 1992. Faisal holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from George Mason University. He also holds a Master of Public Administration in International Management degree from George Mason University. COMMUNICATIONS - Bill Spinnell, CTP Bill Spinnell is a Senior Vice President and Treasury Solutions Officer with Bank of America’s Washington, D.C. Healthcare and Institutions Group, which serves not-for-profit clients with revenue greater than $20MM. Bill has been with Bank of America for 17 years. In addition to his current role, he has held positions as a Client Manager in the bank’s Business Banking division and the Healthcare and Institutions Group. Prior to joining the bank, Bill worked for Nestle for 10 years. Bill received a degree in Economics from the University of Washington and his MBA from the University of Maryland University College. He has held the roles of President, Vice President, Membership Chair and Communications Chair for GWAFP, serves on the Board and Finance Committee for Capital Area Asset Builders (CAAB) and is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association Virginia/DC Chapter.
