“Market Impacts on Financial Risk Management for Corporates"

Financial risk management is a critical activity that is generally housed within the treasury team.  This session will focus on understanding the impacts that the current market environment has on hedging activities, and the key considerations of good risk management.  Whether your role is within Treasury, or you are an external stakeholder, this session is designed to build a working knowledge around financial risk and current hot topics in the market. 

Speakers: Jay Jadeja, CFA and Jason Peterson from Chatham Financial

Jay Jadeja, CFA

Jay is a member of Chatham’s Corporate Treasury Advisory team, partnering with clients to deliver analysis, execution and strategy support in the areas of FX, interest rate, and commodity risk. Prior to Chatham, he worked at KPMG’s Business Advisory Group. He holds a BS in Computer Science and Masters degrees in Management and Finance.

Jason Peterson

Jason leads the Northeastern Corporate Client Relationship team, solving FX, commodity, or interest rate risk management challenges.  Prior to Chatham, he worked at Deloitte in Strategy and Operations, and South American expansion. Jason earned a BBA from James Madison University and his MBA in Finance and International Business from Villanova.

Best Practices - Do your Policies support your current Treasury?

This will be a discussion on Treasury Best Practices from large corporations to small companies.  It will include examples from Allison's experience as a Corporate Practitioner, Banker and Consultant and will encompass policies for Bank Account Administration, intercompany loans, cyber risk management, cash management and payments.

Speaker: Allison P. Questel, CTP, EMBA

Allison has over 20 years' experience working in the Financial Services, Energy and Banking sectors. Initially based in New York, she moved to the DC region and has held successive Corporate Treasury management roles at Morgan Stanley, AES Corporation, and Computer Sciences Corporation.  In addition, Allison was a Senior Treasury Management Officer at PNC Bank in the Business Banking division.  To date, she has led Global Treasury Operations teams, pioneered numerous cash optimization initiatives, transformed banking infrastructure and implemented treasury technologies.


CPE, CAE, CTP, FP&A CREDIT INFORMATION

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICIES

Sessions generally will be cancelled only for inclement weather. If the U.S. Government closes due to severe weather, the session will be cancelled. Every effort will be made to notify registered participants of the cancellation by email. In the event of advance payments, participants may request funds be applied to the next upcoming meeting provided 48 hours of notification are given.

Complaints should be directed to the Education Committee at education@gwafp.org; if resolution cannot be achieved at this level, the complaint will be reviewed by the Executive Committee.
