Anthony Amodeo from Bank of America will discuss the benefits of U.S. Real-Time Payments, the first new clearing system in the U.S. in more than 40 years. Join us to learn more about:

Anthony Amodeo is a product manager in the Global Transaction Services Core Cash Management team with specific responsibility for the development, launch, and commercialization of Emerging Payments, which encompasses instant payment systems, alias-based payments, and digital wallet integration. In this role, Anthony contributed to Bank of America’s effort to join U.S. Real-Time Payments – the first new clearing system in the United States in over 40 years – and is now responsible for implementing a globally consistent strategy for faster payment capabilities in markets around the world.
After completing the Global Banking and Markets Veteran Associate Program, Anthony joined the bank in 2013 as a Liquidity Product Sales Specialist. His liquidity coverage responsibilities included non-bank financial institutions, public sector entities, and the full spectrum of industries and client segments in Canada. In 2015, he became the COO for Large Corporate North America treasury sales, facilitating the execution of the regional business strategy.
A graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy with a BS in aeronautical engineering, Anthony served as a naval officer and helicopter pilot for 11 years before starting his career in finance. While on active duty, he earned an MBA from the University of San Diego. Since joining the bank, he has earned FINRA Series 7 and 63 and the Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) qualifications.
Anthony currently lives with his young family in Garden City, New York. He is an active leader in the New York chapter of the Military Support and Assistance Group (MSAG), which contributes to the firm’s culture of diversity and inclusion. He also volunteers as a Blue and Gold Officer, responsible for guiding local candidates through the Naval Academy application process.

Cheryl B. Jacobs is product manager for global urgent payments and Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (SWIFT) for Corporates specialist for Wells Fargo. She has been with Wells Fargo since 2005, working with global payments, SWIFT for Corporates, and online services for customers using treasury management services.
Before joining Wells Fargo, Cheryl worked for Huntington National Bank and Bank One, supporting online services for treasury management clients. She is on the board of Innovate Carolina, part of the Product Development & Management Association and was a committee member of AFP’s CTP Essentials of Treasury Management 6th edition.
She earned a B.S. in human ecology from The Ohio State University and her MS in Psychology with an emphasis in Human Factors from Grand Canyon University. She became a CTP in 1997, earned her Certified SWIFT for Corporates designation in 2014, and received her New Product Development Professional certification in 2018. Cheryl lives in Charlotte, NC with her husband and daughter.

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICIES
Sessions generally will be cancelled only for inclement weather. If the U.S. Government closes due to severe weather, the session will be cancelled. Every effort will be made to notify registered participants of the cancellation by email. In the event of advance payments, participants may request funds be applied to the next upcoming meeting provided 48 hours of notification are given.
Complaints should be directed to the Education Committee at education@gwafp.org; if resolution cannot be achieved at this level, the complaint will be reviewed by the Executive Committee.
